How we make money
Chain Pursuit is free to use, and we think you should know exactly how we are, or will be, funded. This page explains our model plainly and how we keep it separate from our content.
What is free, and always will be
All of our articles, guides, and tools are free. We do not charge to read anything, we do not gate content behind a payment, and we never ask a victim for an upfront fee. Our assessment tools run in your browser and do not require an account.
How we intend to earn
Where we introduce someone to a vetted third-party firm, such as a lawyer or a legitimate investigative service, we may receive a referral fee from that firm. When that applies, we disclose it clearly on the page where the introduction is made. We are an information and referral platform, not a recovery service.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- We never charge you an upfront fee, for anything.
- Any referral fee is paid by the firm, not by you, and is disclosed at the point of referral.
- Our assessment result is never used to set a price, or to qualify or reject you.
- We only introduce firms that meet our published vetting standard, and we say when we are paid.
- Our editorial content is independent of any commercial relationship; a firm cannot buy coverage.
Where we are now
Chain Pursuit is early, and our priority is building trustworthy, genuinely useful content and tools. Where any referral relationship is live, the disclosure above applies. Our broader commitments are set out in our Disclaimer and Editorial policy.
